To use the recovery key for my laptop but that didn't work for any of the three. Plugged in my two other external hard drives (one of them wasn't even password protected) and got asked for recovery keys too. However, when I plugged in my external hard drive I couldn't open it because it was asking for a BitLocker recovery key. I did that and thought that it was successful because the request for recovery key didn't appear upon start up anymore. I found one saying to turn off the BitLocker encryption. I got annoyed so I searched online for a solution. After that, I would always get asked for the BitLocker recovery keyĮvery time I start up my laptop. I'm using Dell with Windows 10 Home edition. Microsoft community because I was told to ask here instead. ![]()
